Piers and Heather have moved to New Zealand! We give our heartfelt apologies to our UK customers, as we will not be able to service them from our new location. Once we've receive our personal items from the shipping boat, we'll be up and running once again from the south island, complete with a new site address.

Here you'll find bowls, vases, birdhouses, sculptures and more, all made from a wonderful vegetable, the gourd! The gourd is a hard-shelled veggie from the same family as the squash and pumpkin, with one big difference. Once the plant has died away and the gourd is left to dry out, it leaves behind a smooth, hard, wood-like body. Gourds are grown all over the world and are used in infinite ways. They are even water-resistant! They are harvested like any other crop, and thus are sustainably regenerated every year. No timber was felled and no land was damaged to make these pieces.
Our gourds are grown organically and have especially thick, strong shells. Each is unique in shape and design. We use as many non-toxic and eco-friendly treatments as possible. We love the noble gourd, and hope you find it as charming, beautiful, functional and versatile as we do. Enjoy our shop!
